Four Years Of Supporting Kent Charity Spadework | October 2026 | EIS News

This week, colleagues from EIS and Cantium Business Solutions rolled up their sleeves once again to support Spadework, a Kent-based charity helping adults with additional needs develop skills, build confidence and gain independence.

This year, our volunteers lent a hand at the charity’s popular Pumpkin Garden in Offham, near West Malling. With the sun shining and hundred of visitors arriving to choose their pumpkins, the team got stuck in, transporting pumpkins arounf the site and keeping displays stocked throughout the day.

The annual Pumpkin Garden is one of Spadework’s biggest fundraising events, attracting thousands of visitors and raising vital funds to support the charity’s work.

The Important Work Behind Spadework

Spadework provides opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges and dementia, helping people develop practical skills, build friendships and feel more connected to their community.

Through activities including horticulture, cooking, arts and crafts, and other practical experiences, the charity creates a welcoming environment where individuals can learn, grow and gain confidence.

Giving Back to Our Local Community

Supporting Spadework is part of our wider commitment to social value and making a positive contribution to the communities in which we work.

Returning for a fourth year reflects the ongoing relationship our colleagues have built with the charity and our commitment to supporting local organisations through practical volunteering.

As part of Commercial Services Group (CSG), our colleagues have the opportunity to take time away from their usual roles to volunteer and support local causes.

Are you an EIS customer with a school or community project that could benefit from a helping hand? We’d love to hear from you. Get in touch with our team to tell us more about how we could support you.
